In the months before the U.S.-led war with Iraq, Chief U.S. weapons inspector David Kay says Saddam desperately pressed North Korea for the missiles or the money. Kay told reporters Friday that the Iraqis wanted to know, quote:
"Where is the stuff we paid for?"
"There's so much U.S. attention on us that we cannot deliver it."
"Well, we don't like this, but give us our 10 million back."
I never realized how much international illegal arms trades sounded like bickering on Ebay.
